Families with younger kids should know that there's definitely as much intense violence (decapitation, explosions, stabbings, impalement, crushing, shooting, etc.), and even more pain, trauma, and grief here than there was in Avengers: Infinity War.

Parent's Eye View. Marvel's Avengers is rated by PEGI at 16 and above, and by the ESRB at T for Teen. I'm a little on the fence on this one, as it's going to come down to the individual child.
But while all the films in the Marvel Cinematic Universe have the same PG-13 rating, some are more appropriate for younger viewers than others. The least kid-friendly Marvel movies feature more violence, more mature themes, and more potentially scary moments.
