Angelina Jolie has revealed the reason why her daughter Vivienne, 5, was cast in her new film Maleficent. The 38-year-old admitted she didn't set out for Vivienne to be an actor. However, Vivienne was the only child actor she could find who wasn't terrified of her in costume.
Vivienne Jolie-Pitt (born July 12, 2008) is an American actress who portrays Young Aurora in Maleficent. She is the daughter of Angelina Jolie who portrays Maleficent.
In 2014, in an interview with Elle, Angelina Jolie revealed that she asked Shiloh Jolie-Pitt to play the role, but she refused it. Jolie said, “I asked Shiloh about being Aurora, and she laughed in my face. She said she'd be a horned creature.” It ultimately was played by her youngest daughter, Vivienne.

Is Maleficent really Aurora's mother?
The irony is that Aurora was taken from her mother to protect her from Maleficent, but, to Aurora, Leila is simply the woman who gave birth to her while she refers to Maleficent as her Fairy Godmother.
Shiloh was not declared to be transgender and facilitated toward a new identity. As far as we know, her parents didn't tell her that she truly was male, but rather they accepted her stereotype nonconformity and acknowledged her as more like her brothers than her sisters.
