Cal has to have known this. Rose tells Jack 'all of Philadelphia Society' will be present for their engagement party. It would be highly unlikely that word hadn't travelled up the society grape vine to Cal and his father that Ruth and Rose were broke.
It is not stated in the film whether Rose personally had any money of her own, but it is likely that she would have been financially well-off due to her family's wealth and social status.
I only realized it when I watched it again last week. At the beginning they said rose died at 17 on the titanic (she faked her death). I was curious and I googled Cals age and it says 30!

However, it is worth noting that some sources suggest Jack could have been as young as 17 or as old as 22. On the other hand, Rose DeWitt Bukater was portrayed as a young woman from a wealthy family. Her age is stated in the movie as 17 years old.

In the show adaptation, Dimitri falls for Rose particularly when the Dhampirs have their own version of the Death Watch. This involves going to a Dhampir bar, where all the guardians and novices drink and honor their fallen friends. Yet, in the books, Rose falls for Dimitri first and he reciprocates her feelings.
In the books, movie, and graphic novels, Dimitri calls Rose "Roza" when he is feeling more affectionate towards her. Dimitri in the book makes her his bloodwhore while he was strigoi.

Much drama ensues, involving Rose rescuing Jack from a lower deck as the icy waters approach and engulf them and jumping off the lifeboat she briefly boarded because she can't imagine leaving Jack behind. Thanks to Jack's cool head in a crisis, they survive Titanic's sinking.
She falls out with her finance during the voyage, and meets Jack Dawson. Once the ship has sunk, she chooses to give her name to the authorities as Rose Dawson: thus there is no Rose DeWitt Bukater recorded on the surviving passenger records.
