Although they were friends, Marceline still seemed to care about her Ax bass more than him, as seen in "It Came from the Nightosphere." In "Go With Me", Marceline makes it clear she does not want to date Finn, but Finn explains that he didn't want to date her either. They go to the movies together, but only as friends.
7. Finn & Flame Princess. Phoebe, a.k.a. Flame Princess, is Finn's first real flame after his long-lasting unrequited crush on Princess Bubblegum. For a while, they go out and have fun together, and their relationship is the epitome of young love.
Other difficult lessons are handled in the relationships in Adventure Time, such as Finn's relationship with Flame Princess. I found this a particularly touching and important representation, as Finn actually ends up with no one at the end of the series.
Being mutually disgusted to the point of vomiting by the idea of kissing (although, ironically, she has kissed him on the cheek at least twice, albeit in only a playful manner), Marceline said no to Finn when he asked her to go to the movies thinking he was asking her to be his girlfriend.
Bubblegum is close friends with Finn and Jake, with Jake occasionally being referred to as Bubblegum's "knight". Finn has a crush on Bubblegum in early episodes, often saving her from Ice King, though he eventually realizes she is too old for him and that she sees him like a little brother.
In the series finale, "Come Along with Me", Marceline and Bubblegum express their romantic feelings for one another and kiss, and the episode's epilogue shows the two seemingly as a happy couple.
She says that now she believes that Finn is a Water Elemental because he "creates water," or cries. Flame Princess says that no matter how much they like each other, they can't be together because they are of conflicting elements.
During Adventure Time, it was revealed that Finn and Jake were the same age, and the series ended when Finn was 17. Therefore, it would only make sense that Jake would pass away by the time Finn reached adulthood.
Finn was always too nervous to ask out Princess Bubblegum until the episode "Too Young" where Princess Bubblegum was still young. Princess Bubblegum had to become old again and the only way to do that was for Finn to kiss her lips to lips and so began Finn's first kiss which he used on Princess Bubblegum.
However, during the fight, Flame Princess destroys the Ice Kingdom and discovers that Finn set up the fight. Feeling betrayed, she breaks up with him. "Frost & Fire" was the last episode of the fifth season to have been storyboarded by Pearson, although he later returned to revise the storyboards for "Earth & Water".
Rey and Ben kissing. Ben Solo is the love of Rey's life. Initially unknown to Rey, she forms a dyad in the Force with Ben. The dyad is an unbreakable Force-bond that makes them one in the Force, despite being born as two physically separated individuals.
Finn was in love with Rey, or at least fascinated by her as one of the first people he met after breaking his lifelong conditioning. It is unclear whether Rey ever reciprocated his feelings. She never overtly rejected him because he never overtly made a move.
It was confirmed that he and Flame Princess are not dating by Cartoon Network's official Twitter page and by the writers and his proclamation of love for her is that of deep respect and not romantic.
Recently, Marceline has expressed that she does indeed care for Finn's well being. This is exemplified in "Heat Signature," where she becomes more protective of Finn when her ghost friends prank him and Jake too far on what started to be a harmless "vampire initiation."
The human tribe was attacked by the Vampire King while repairing a boat, and Marceline defended them. However, when she tried to fight the Vampire King herself, he pinned her down and bit her. Although she eventually managed to slay him, she was turned in the process, becoming the last vampire in Ooo.
Finn dances with Quilton's daughter, Roselinen. However, no one knows how to get him home. Years later, Finn and Roselinen have married and had two children, Bonnie and Jay. Quilton tells them that an ancient book has been discovered revealing that the door to Finn's world appears periodically.
It was all going perfectly until she broke up with him in the episode "Frost and Fire" and in the episode "Earth and Water," Flame Princess took over the Fire Kingdom instead of getting back together with Finn, but she said they could still be friends.
In "Couple Night" Flame Princess shown to really love Finn, and Finn seems to doesn't even care about PB anymore, however in "You're So Hot" she did shown to be very flirtatious, but still loves Finn. In "Frost & Fire" they broke up.
