As the new possessor of the One Ring, however, Bilbo's lifespan is extended. For sixty years, he barely ages, a peculiar trait that Gandalf the Wizard notes. However, Bilbo also feels himself changing internally. He doesn't understand the Ring's influence on him, but he knows he is different.
Of the Ring-bearers, three were alive after the Ring's destruction, the hobbits Bilbo, Frodo, and Sam. Bilbo, having borne the Ring the longest, had his life much prolonged. Frodo was scarred physically and mentally by his quest. Sam, having only briefly kept the Ring, was affected the least.
In fact, Bilbo's possession of the Ring in particular was characterized by pity, as he encountered Gollum and saw what he had become. The compassion he shows to Gollum by not killing him could have been a large factor in why the Ring did not corrupt him the way it did other Ring-bearers.
The films might say yes, but the books say definitely no. In fact, Gandalf in the books said that it would take some time for the influence of the One Ring to wear off and that when Bilbo gave up the ring, he essentially 'stopped' where he was.
The One Ring may affect Frodo more than Bilbo, but it still corrupts Bilbo to a certain extent. The Ring's influence on Bilbo is clear when Gandalf has to force him to leave it behind in The Fellowship of the Ring.

Why didn't the Ring corrupt Bilbo?
The first is that Bilbo is a hobbit, and as such, is particularly difficult to manipulate or corrupt. Hobbits have a natural resistance to the influence of the ring, because they are fully content in their simple lives and have no desires for power or war.

During the events of The Lord of the Rings, Gollum is almost 600 years old. The One Ring has the power to extend the life of any mortal indefinitely. Gollum survived after losing the Ring because its effects on him lingered as long as the Ring existed in the world.
Why didn't Gollum age like Bilbo without the Ring?
Gollum possessed the Ring for over 500 years before losing it to Bilbo during the events of The Hobbit. It granted him an "unnatural long life," as Galadriel explained during the opening voice-over to The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring.
The purity of Valinor gives Frodo relief from his wounds since the presence of evil in Middle-earth keeps them fresh, and he likely lives a considerably longer life than he would have. Still, he doesn't live forever.
Though someone could start out with good intentions, the Ring would eventually corrupt them. And that is why Gandalf can't touch it. He is afraid that if he did, it would corrupt him and make him just as bad as Sauron since Sauron put so much of himself and his evil into the One Ring.
Inversely, the hobbits' good-naturedness and lack of ambition makes them less susceptible to the Ring's promises of power, as in Frodo and Samwise Gamgee, who are able to handle the Ring for extended periods of time.
It explains in the LOTR somewhere, that the reason Biblbo was less affected by the ring's power is becasue he was a good person to begin with and he never used it for evil, or even power or control over others. He didn't wear it that often, he kept it on the mantel.
Given his status as a former Ring-Bearer, Bilbo is one of the first to realize that the One Ring has been destroyed, at which point his aging process accelerates even more than it did during his 15 years without the Ring.

What would happen to Gollum if the Ring was destroyed?
So Sam has grudging mercy on him. But, though Gollum is no expert, I think we might trust him on this bit: If the Ring had been destroyed without Gollum falling in too, he would simply have disintegrated into dust, 500 years catching up with him all at once.
Though Elves and Maiar had greater natural resistance to the Ring's effects, Hobbits possessed an inborn resilience to its primary means of temptation. In fact, they saved Middle-earth from Sauron precisely because they could fend off his influence better than most others.
Another extraordinary capacity Bombadil possessed was his immunity to the power of the One Ring; he could see Frodo when Frodo wore it, and could wear it himself with no effect. He even tossed the Ring in the air, making it vanish, then produced it from his other hand.
Her fate is bound to the One Ring in the sense that, if the Fellowship's mission is successful and Sauron is defeated once and for all, Aragorn becomes King and she will become his Queen.
