At the altar, realizing she does not truly love the Prince and having understood what true love really means after talking with the King, Anastasia's conscience finally gets the better of her, and to Cinderella's amazement, she refuses to marry the Prince and steps aside for Cinderella.
Anastasia was spared by the king and forgiven by everyone, particularly Cinderella herself, who subsequently invited Anastasia to live in the palace with her and the Prince. Anastasia was later reunited with the Baker, now free to pursue her own life without Lady Tremaine's interference.
