A lot of people love the Karate Kid movie franchise including the Netflix original series Cobra Kai 1, 2, 3 and 4. The famous Kata Seienchin has been used ALOT in the series and many people want to learn it for free and practice at home.
Cobra Kai Karate is it's own style derived from Shotokan and Tang Soo Do. It uses lot's of side kicks, knee kicks, round house kicks, and Sweeps in combination with straight punches, backfists, and chops. Cobra Kai is a derivative of American Tang Soo Do, popularized by Karate Champion Chuck Norris.
In the 3rd film, Miyagi teaches Daniel a Kata. Said kata is Seienchin, also spelled Seiyunchin. It is one of the 12 Goju Ryu Kata, although other styles do practice it.

I would say to watch it to have a bit of fun, but that's it. Sensei James: The other half of Cobra Kai is the fighting, and I will say that the fighting in Cobra Kai is better than The Karate Kid. But there is a huge difference in how things are edited today.
