Theseus Scamander Theseus is the Head of the Auror office in Britain and also happens to be the older brother of Newt Scamander, who he has always worried about (especially when he gets in trouble with the Ministry of Magic).
Newton Artemis Fido "Newt" Scamander was born on 24 February 1897 somewhere in England. He had at least one sibling, an older brother, Theseus Scamander.
For his part, Newt is envious of his brother's reputation, not so much of his success, but rather of always being overshadowed and compared to him. Both brothers would wish to be rid of such feelings, but can't help to feed them by their own continuous actions.

Considering the length of time between the Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them and Harry Potter films, it seems unlikely that Newt would have a reason to visit Hogwarts. In addition, Newt was expelled from Hogwarts when he was a student, making his return even less likely.
Luna married fellow naturalist Rolf Scamander, grandson of Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them author Newt Scamander, considerably later in life than Harry, Ron, Hermione, and Ginny, who all married and started families in their early-to-mid twenties.

Rolf followed his grandfather's footsteps and became a magizoologist himself, eventually falling in love with Luna. This makes Luna Lovegood the great-daughter-in-law of both Newt and Tina Scamander, further cementing another prestige family lineage in the Harry Potter canon.

In one scene, Aragog, the Acromantula tells Harry that he came to Hagrid "from a distant land, in the pockets of a traveler." This means that Scamander and Hagrid knew each other after the former traveled around the world to study, collect and learn everything about fantastic beasts.

Leta Lestrange was bullied by several students in her school years due to gossip and the awareness of her half brother's death. She was an outcast, and she responded with a dark charm once. She became the one to blame because she lashed out to defend herself. Points were taken from her house.
As part of the Lestrange family, Leta is endlessly bullied and isolated during her time at Hogwarts for her infamous surname. Students and teachers alike assume her to be evil, and deny her the chance to prove them otherwise. Add this to her social awkwardness and Leta starts to believe that she is, indeed, bad.
