Peter's relatives are his cousin Benjamin Bunny and Benjamin's father, Mr. Benjamin Bouncer. Peter Rabbit was named after a pet rabbit whom Beatrix Potter had as a child, and whom she called Peter Piper.
In The Flopsy Bunnies, Benjamin Bunny (son of Old Mr. Bunny) and Peter Rabbit are adults, and Benjamin has married his cousin Flopsy (one of Peter's sisters). As for Peter, Mopsy, and Cotton-Tail, they haven't been married yet and still live with their mother (Mrs. Josephine Rabbit).

Is Cottontail a girl or boy?
Cottontail is is a well-behaved little bunny who tries to stay out of trouble. She is the daughter of Mr. Rabbit and Mrs. Rabbit and has three siblings--an older bother, Peter Rabbit, and two sisters, Flopsy and Mopsy.
A doting father to Benjamin, Mr. Bouncer's parenting style has never been the simple, ordered, traditional approach of his sister, Mrs. Rabbit, but rather has involved the constant creation of over-engineered contraptions aimed at making their lives in the woods free from labour and risk.
