"The Beast", who displays enhanced strength and animalistic tendencies, returns to his lair, thanks Dr. Fletcher for her help, and crushes her to death. He savagely feeds upon and kills Claire and Marcia before approaching Casey, but she calls out Kevin's full name, which brings forth his original personality.
In the third act, the Beast breaks out thanks to Dennis and kills two of the kidnapped girls, but allows protagonist Casey to live due to her own troubled past, recognizing a bond between them.
Dr Fletcher's death scene in Split is critical to understanding the Beast, and plays a key role in setting him up as not only a formidable villain for the film's climax and the next instalment but also in laying bare his motives and both answering and raising questions about his psychology and origins.
This happiness came to an end when her uncle molested her while they were on a hunting trip together, leaving Casey traumatized. To make matters worse, Casey's uncle, John was the only legal guardian to take care of her after her father passed away.
At the end of that movie, the Beast lets Casey, one of the teenagers he has kidnapped, go—all because she has suffered sexual abuse throughout her life. (He only eats innocent girls who have never suffered.) The villain distills the movie's philosophy in one creepy line: “Rejoice! The broken are more evolved.”
However, upon Casey's shirt being ripped off in their final struggle, it is revealed that she has scars on her stomach—scars caused by self-inflicted harm and cutting. As it's been confirmed earlier in the picture, Casey was abused repeatedly over the years by her uncle.
At the end of "Split," we find that the character with 24 split personalities played by James McAvoy lives in the same cinematic world as a character from another Shyamalan movie when Bruce Willis suddenly appears, playing David Dunn, the main character from 2000's "Unbreakable."
Towards the end of the movie, the final identity Kevin takes on is a vicious beast that climbs walls, deflects bullets, and ultimately kills two of the abducted girls with his bare hands. Only one girl is spared by the beast because of the scars he finds all over her body.
The antagonist is a foil to the protagonist Casey (Anya Taylor-Joy), closely mirroring her story, suggesting that he is a victim like her. As a young girl, Casey is sexually abused by her uncle John (Brad William Henke).
So split is about a man called Kevin who has 25 different personalities . One that's a old woman one that's a strict man named Dennis and one that's a 9 year old boy that likes to listen to Kanye West ,ect. So Dennis kidnaps three teenage girls to feed the (SPOILER WARNING) Beast . the 26'th personality.
Fletcher awakens long enough to write out Kevin's full name on a piece of paper before "The Beast" returns and kills her. "The Beast" then attacks and devours Claire and Marcia. Casey comes and finds Dr. Fletcher's body and her note.
Kevin's mother failed to protect him from abuse and neglect, either due to her own damaged state or her lack of interest in fulfilling her role as a caregiver [1]. Her abusive behavior and neglectful actions contributed to Kevin's trauma and likely exacerbated his psychological struggles.
The Beast. The 24th and most dangerous personality to form. This personality changes Kevin's body chemistry and physiology to the point where his skin is impenetrable and can develop superhuman speed, strength, and durability. He is shown to be able to climb walls, bend metal bars, and survive shotgun wounds.
Obviously, The Beast is where Split veers into pure fiction with DID. As the personality emerges, Kevin takes on animalistic traits and gains abilities that wouldn't be physically possible if there wasn't some artistic license involved.
Split was met with criticism over how Shyamalan portrayed DID as a stereotype and violent. The National Alliance for Mental Illness describes DID as, “an involuntary escape from reality characterized by a disconnection between thoughts, identity, consciousness and memory.”
So the Beast does indeed emerge – McAvoy becomes ultra strong, his skin gets super hard, he gains the ability to climb impossible walls (somewhat unconvincingly) and his voice gets even creepier. And he does indeed completely eviscerate and eat two of the girls.
Glass is a 2019 superhero film written and directed by M. Night Shyamalan, who also produced with Jason Blum, Marc Bienstock, and Ashwin Rajan. The film is a crossover and sequel to Shyamalan's previous films Unbreakable (2000) and Split (2016) and the third and final installment in the Unbreakable trilogy.
The Beast is the most dangerous and violent of all the personalities. he is a combination of all the different personalties and animal at the zoo. The Beast is a cannibalistic monster with super strength and other abilities, who believes that those who haven't suffered are "impure".
The aftermath of the film leads to an ending that is tragic, engaging, and tense beyond belief. The now-iconic ending also features what is undoubtedly the best twist in a Shyamalan film since The Sixth Sense.
It's about a man (James McAvoy) with multiple personalities (aka dissociative identity disorder). Violence and scariness are the big issues here. Characters die, women are kidnapped and hurt, and a young girl is abused by her uncle (though there's not a lot of gore or horror, and much takes place off screen).
Why did Casey tell Marcia to pee on herself in Split?
The three girls awakened in a room of a secretive house. Dennis enters into the room and took Marcia, not before Casey told her to "pee on yourself" to ensure she is not hurt by him.
In tense and frankly horrific opening scenes, Dennis, one of Kevin's personalities, abducts three underage girls by spraying them and one of their fathers in the face with some sort of chloroform and taking the girls to his hidden lair, where at first they share a single locked room with a spotless bathroom attached.
