He was once reduced to an infant in an infamous story, and his mutant ability to control magnetic fields can slow down his aging process (exactly how that happens is anyone's guess).
Because of this, while Magneto may technically be over 90 years old, he is physically far younger, and has been for some time. At this point, most of Magneto's adventures take place after his age was artificially altered, explaining why he appears to be only a few years older than Cyclops and the other X-Men.
He was a child during the Holocaust, but in the comics he looks incredibly young, minus the white hair. One of his creations, Mutant Alpha, turned Magneto into a baby. An alien later restored him to adulthood “in his physical prime” which may have made him even stronger than he was in his original youth.
Magneto has been devolved into an infant by Alpha "the Ultimate Mutant" and regrown by Erik the Red into a younger adult; so that, despite his much greater chronological age, he appears still to be a relatively young man.
So if he was killed in the snap, he'd still be 88 in 2023. But if he didn't get snapped he'd still be 93. People have a solution that "they should make mutants age slower" to make his age make more sense when that never really affected magneto.
The X-Men (and other mutants) don't seem to age much in the X-Men films; as if the aging process is 20 years slower than Homo Sapiens. That would explain why Magneto maintains his robust physical condition for almost 80 years in both the comics/movies/shows/etc he's appeared in.
This isn't even getting into the fact that, as we saw in Avengers #111 (by Steve Englehart, Don Heck and Mike Esposito), Magneto can control people's minds with his powers, so he could "wield" Mjolnir, in a way, by "wielding" Thor himself... (And yes, it is creepy that he has his daughter dancing for him).
As seen in certain comics from Marvel such as Black Panther #48, vibranium in its purest form does not respond to Magneto, resisting his powers a rare exception.
He realized he would need protection from psychic beings like his old friend Professor Charles Xavier. He designed the helmet with circuitry that along with magnetic powers allow him control people's mind but Charles blocked it.
Everyone that makes up Brother Mutant Magneto, Wolverine, Scarlet Warlock, Quicksilver, and Mesmero. Together, they become Magneto's most powerful variant not only because of the other mutants involved, but because his powers are enhanced by the adamantium introduced to his body.
The Scarlet Witch is a regular character in Uncanny Avengers (2012), beginning with issue #1. The 2014 AXIS crossover retconned the character's parentage again, revealing Magneto is not biologically her father, contrary to that relationship's place in the canon for 32 years.
One could view Magneto as a villain first and foremost, since he's always introduced in an antagonistic role before later undergoing a redemption arc. But at the same time, his story always seems to end with him as a stalwart ally of the X-Men — so in that sense, perhaps being a hero is his true nature.

Although it's hard to pinpoint what exactly makes someone worthy of using Mjolnir, as it's ultimately determined by Odin, who placed the enchantment on the hammer, some believe one's worthiness is measured by traits like courage, honor, and selflessness.
Lets be honest here, most cases the Hulk should easily take this win. Even if the entire battlefield was metal for Magneto to use, it wouldnt really matter, because as you know, Hulk smash. Hulk judy needs to land a single hit on Magneto, and the win is his.
