In 1998, serial killer, Tiffany Valentine, would purchase one of the dolls and use it to taunt her ex-boyfriend, Charles Lee Ray, now the homicidal Good Guy doll Chucky, after he refused to marry her. However, Chucky would ultimately kill Valentine himself and place her soul within the Belle doll.
Tiffany, scared, attempts to pull a Child's Play special and ensure her survival by transferring her consciousness to the Belle doll. She attempts the ritual but is foiled when it turns out… there's already a consciousness in there. Chucky is inside the Belle doll!
Chucky made his first appearance in the 1988 film Child's Play. In the film, a serial killer named Charles Lee Ray, aka Chucky (Brad Dourif) uses a voodoo ritual inside a toy store to transfer his soul into a Good Guy doll to escape from Detective Mike Norris (Chris Sarandon).
After she angers him, Chucky kills Tiffany, and transfers her soul into a female doll. The duo then goes on a cross-country rampage, during which they have sex.
Weaknesses. Chucky isn't without his flaws, as he is known to be very impatient and rather arrogant. Chucky's Voodoo abilities only work under specific circumstances and have requirements for them to work. Despite being a doll, he has spent so long in his doll body that he has turned anatomically human.

What made Chucky so evil?
He only became evil due to his sadistic desire to hurt and kill others, shown when his father was killed by the Hackensack killer, and decided to become just like him because he was inspired by the killers actions.
At the end of the film, Andy, his mother Karen, and two police detectives, Mike Norris and Jackie Santos, try to fight off Chucky. After he's lit on fire and loses both an arm and a leg, Karen shoots him repeatedly, and he is even beheaded. It isn't until Norris shoots Chucky in the heart that he finally dies.
Jesse follows him and attempts to trade Tiffany for Jade. Chucky accepts but quickly recaptures the couple and prepares to transfer Tiffany's soul into Jade. However, moved by Jade and Jesse's love, Tiffany stabs Chucky and they fight.
She locked him in a playpen and gave him a doll in a wedding dress to make fun of him. Little did she know, that doll was about to be her new body. Chucky escaped from the playpen and killed Tiffany, transferring her soul into the bride doll she had made.
Now going by "Tiffany Ray", Tiffany plans to transport her soul into the body of Jennifer Tilly (who happens to be playing her in the film). They also plan to impregnate her and put Glen's soul in the baby's body. Their plan is successful, as Jennifer swiftly gives birth to two babies, a boy and a girl.
Unfortunately, as is so often the case, that Good Guy doll has been possessed by the spirit of a serial killer, the notorious Charles Lee Ray. After gruesomely murdering several people in Andy's life, Chucky attempts to transfer his soul into Andy so that he can be a real boy.
The only way to get a real body again is to transfer his soul to the first person he revealed his true identity to. So, Chucky spends two movies trying to transfer his soul into young Andy Barclay (Alex Vincent) but fails. First Andy burns and dismembers him (with help; he's six after all).
Initially, his primary goal was to transfer his soul back into a human body — be it original victim Andy Barclay (Alex Vincent) or otherwise. Following the birth of Glen/Glenda (who was finally referenced in the Chucky show), however, Chucky began to relish living as a killer doll.
Eight years after Chucky's second demise, the Play Pals company resumes manufacturing Good Guy dolls and re-opens the abandoned factory. A splash of blood from Chucky's corpse is inadvertently mixed in with the molten plastic being used to produce the dolls, reviving him in an updated body.
When Nica asks Chucky what his motive is, he reveals that he was a family friend that was secretly in love with Nica's mother Sarah. He killed her father and kidnapped Sarah.
Four years after the events of Cult of Chucky, Nica is still possessed by Chucky and staying with Tiffany in a hotel room in Hackensack, New Jersey, where Chucky and Tiffany are originally from. Nica is able to regain control of her body temporarily, usually at the sight of blood.
In order to get Glen's soul into a human body, Chucky's semen is inserted by Tiffany into Jennifer so she can bear a child for Glen to use. As the two awake the next morning, unaware of the events of the night before, Jennifer suddenly experiences morning sickness and realizes that she is pregnant.
Tiffany Valentine, portrayed by horror icon Jennifer Tilly, made her first on-screen appearance in 1998's Bride of Chucky. Canonically speaking, though, she was actually the girlfriend of Charles Lee Ray before he became a killer doll.
The film is filled with over-the-top violence and gore and is permeated with sexual innuendo. Characters curse, runaway from home, dress scantily, practice voodoo, have sex, and kill one another.
Now irate, Chucky breaks free and surprises Tiffany while she is bathing, dropping a television set into her bathtub and electrocuting her to death. Still dragging the bridal doll, Chucky then recites the familiar voodoo chant, transferring Tiffany's soul into the doll.
After her husband's funeral, she is kidnapped by Charles, but manages to call the police. Charles angered by her rejection, pulls out a knife and stabs her in the stomach before fleeing the oncoming police. Because she was pregnant with Nica, his actions cause her to be paraplegic.
The film is set six years after Bride of Chucky and follows a young doll named Glen, the son of Chucky and Tiffany, resurrecting his parents, causing chaos. The film, shot in Romania, continues the series' evolution from the pure horror genre of the first three films to a hybrid horror-comedy.
Racking up the kills together from all seven movies, Chucky has killed a total of 67 people. For Chucky being a pint-sized killer doll, he has enough expertise and weapons to kill more people in Chucky season 2.
Despite inside the body of a doll, Chucky can feel pain and can bleed when injured, and has a large scar with stitches on his face. He used many weapons including guns, but mostly an axe or a knife to kill people who buy or sees him killing someone.
While creator Don Mancini took inspiration from his childhood and horror stories that came before, the character of Charles Lee Ray, aka Chucky, is completely fictional.
