Quaritch had had a son with Paz Socorro before his death. Although he died when Miles was still a baby, he thought he was going to be sent to Earth with the rest of the RDA personnel. When the Recom clone Quaritch meets his son, he seems positively surprised the moment he sees him for the first time.
Miles "Spider" Socorro is a sixteen-year-old boy who was born in Hell's Gate as the son of Colonel Miles Quaritch and Paz Socorro. After the death of his parents, Miles remained on Pandora and was adopted by Nash McCosker and Mary after the Pandoran War.
