Mann was marooned on this planet for 35 years, as evidenced by the 23-year time dilation on Miller, the two-year trip to Saturn and the launch of the Lazarus missions which predated Endurance's launch by ten years.
Why did Dr. Mann try to maroon the rest of the crew?
After witnessing the explosion in his landing pod, signaling the death of Romilly and hearing that Cooper survived his attack with Brand on her way to help, Mann adjusted his plan and instead decided to maroon the crew of the Endurance on the planet in order to initiate Plan B.
Mann is an example of humanity's selfish nature – his surname is a not-particularly-subtle bit of signposting – as he deliberately manipulates his data to pretend that his ammonia-filled planet is habitable. He sabotages Coop's crew purely to escape from the planet and make it back to Earth.
Why did the base on Mann's planet explode? Mann had his own assistive robot where he stored the 'real' information on how unfit the planet really was to live in. He programmed it to blow sky high just in case any nosey parker (in this case Romilly) happened to stumble upon it.
They awaken Mann from cryostasis, and he fills them with the hope that the planet he discovered could support human life. However, he privately reveals to Cooper that this is a lie. He falsified the data so that NASA would send a crew to rescue him.
The planet was first visited by Dr. Mann, ten years prior to the launch of Endurance. Upon arrival, Mann realizes his planet was uninhabitable. With his robot companion KIPP, they dropped probes at nearby locations with the hope of finding a rocky, habitable surface, below the frozen clouds they stood on.
Through Dr. Mann says, “I'm here for you,” while Cooper dies, Mann can't tolerate the suffering and turns off the speaker in his helmet. At this point, the film cuts to Murph turning her jeep into the family cornfield, where she will set fire to the corn in order to force Tom to leave.
While Cooper himself cannot physically travel back in time, he can use gravity to exert a force across dimensions - including time. Initially, Cooper attempts to send the message "STAY" by knocking Murph's books off the wall, inadvertently becoming Murph's ghost.
He left for a potentially habitable planet, with the hope his planet would be the one to sustain human life, without taking into consideration the possibility of failure. However, upon realizing the planet's inhospitability and his imminent isolation and likely death, he descended into madness.
Mann's ice planet, made of ammonia ice with and icy atmosphere and deceivingly solid clouds. Coop and the team land here to check on Dr. Mann and set up a base on a potentially habitable planet, but with ammonia's freezing temperature of -77.73°C (107.9°F), they're out of luck.
Set in a dystopian future where humanity is embroiled in a catastrophic blight and famine, the film follows a group of astronauts who travel through a wormhole near Saturn in search of a new home for humankind.
The ending is by far the saddest scene. Cooper visits Murph in the hospital when she is old and dying, and they have a moment together. Very likely to make viewers cry. A character driven mad by isolation tries to kill another character, but fails.
Cooper traveled for 2 years to the wormhole and subsequently lost 23 years in gravitational time dilation on Miller's planet. When he returns to the Endurance he receives Murph's message that she is now the same age as Cooper when he departed.
Mann faked data about his planet's viability so Endurance would rescue him. Mann breaks Cooper's spacesuit visor and leaves him to die, and flees to Endurance on a shuttle; Romilly is killed by a bomb Mann set to protect his secret.
Based on this information, Cooper leaves to find Brand because he believes that she may have found a habitable planet and successfully established a colony there.
Romilly didn't sleep for the whole period, that's why he looked aged compared to Cooper and Amelia when they come back. He was a scientist by heart so after taking a couple of stretches as he said, he started doing research on the black hole (Gargantua) and that's how he spent 23 years.
It took the spaceship 18 months to travel to the wormhole, then 23 years passed from exploring planet Miller. Murph said (cried) in the video to his dad that she is finally the same age as him when he left. Which tells us that she and her dad are both 35 years old toward the end of the movie.
The only ages we know for sure are Murph's at the beginning, 10, and Cooper's at the very end, 124. I used 35 for Coop's starting age because we know Murph is 10 and 25 years later (2 to Saturn and 23 Earth years spent on Miller's Planet) she says she is the same age as Coop when he left.

Cooper survives his journey through the black hole and is rescued outside the wormhole. He awakens to find that Murph was able to use the information he sent to usher in humanity's exodus from Earth, saving the human race from its doomed planet.
