Netflix's controversial film 365 Days has just dropped with a sequel, This Day, and already fans are looking forward to a third instalment. The big news is that part three has already been confirmed, so fans of Laura and Massimo's story will definitely revisit the pair and see what they get up to next.
As mentioned above, 365 Days 4 has yet to be confirmed by Netflix so there isn't an official release date. The second and third movies were filmed back-to-back which is why they were released fairly close to each other (April 2022 and August 2022).
Following the shocking events of 365 Days: This Day, the third movie in Netflix's 365 Days trilogy saw Laura and Massimo attempt to rebuild a relationship that had already faced some serious challenges, such as Laura being shot.
It's revealed that Laura ended up with Nacho after escaping another abusive situation that ends up with Massimo drugging her and trying to get her pregnant. Laura eventually manages to escape him by seducing him and leaving when he lets his guard down.
Did Massimo actually cheat on Laura? No, Massimo's hitherto-unmentioned identical twin brother Adriano is the one at the party, as 365 Days: This Day's twist ending reveals, thus clearing Massimo's good name.
Surprisingly, Massimo then assents to divorce, meaning Laura and Nacho end up living happily ever after and the unhinged mob boss simply accepts that his former paramour is gone for good.
Massimo and Adriano had always been rivals, and it was all part of Adriano's plan. Laura runs and she is shot by Anna and Adriano, who are in turn shot and killed by Massimo and Nacho. The movie ends with Nacho leaving and Laura lying in the arms of Massimo, her fate uncertain.
It's revealed that although she survived the accident, she unfortunately lost her baby as a result. They get married, but it doesn't take long for cracks to show as Massimo reverts to his old ways and Laura refuses to go along with all of his demands.
Its popularity has raised the question on social media regarding whether the movie's graphic sex scenes record actors actually having sex. The story is based on the Polish trilogy 365 dni by Blanka Lipinska. A handsome gangster glimpses a woman and then spends years searching the world for her.
Laura (Anna-Maria Sieklucka) survived the tunnel attack at the end of the first movie, but she lost her unborn baby. Her mob-boss-kidnapper-turned-fiancé Massimo (Michele Morrone) doesn't know that Laura was ever pregnant. The two get married and have a lot of sex on their honeymoon.
After a meeting between the Torricelli Sicilian Mafia crime family and black market dealers, Massimo Torricelli watches a beautiful woman named Laura Biel on a beach. Suddenly, the dealers shoot Massimo and his father; Massimo survives while his father dies from his injuries.
Of course, she says Nacho is a good person, and pleads Laura gives him a chance to explain himself. Laura does, and if you hadn't already guessed it, this interaction ends in a sex scene. Nacho confesses his love for Laura but says he wants her to make her own decisions to be happy.
Laura eventually gets away with Nacho, they get engaged and in an epilogue, it's revealed that they have a daughter together. Massimo has given up on Laura and divorced her, letting her keep the company too. It's a happy ending of sorts, but there's a lot of icky dark stuff that has to happen along the way.
He is just bad. All there is to say about Laura is that she's a victim. The idea that she 'fell in love' after having Massimo's junk repeatedly shoved in her face at every turn while he manhandles and manipulates her is likely triggering for some viewers.
Laura is in fact alive and makes a full recovery, although she does lose a pregnancy that she never told Massimo about - with this theme of deceit rearing its head many times throughout the plot of 365 Days: This Day. Here's 365 Days 2's ending explained in detail.
Lipinska said much of the novels are based on real events in her and her friends' lives, but is reticent to identify which parts. "There's one part that I'm totally sure that 100 percent of people say is bulls---, and it's really not," she said.
Laura returns to her hotel, where a furious Massimo confronts her over her behavior. Laura threatens divorce and requests space, and Massimo complies. Laura returns to Poland to reunite with her parents and admits she is not sure who she is truly in love with.
Netflix's erotic thriller 365 Days and its sequel, 365 Days: This Day, are phenomenally popular on the streaming service despite the original movie having a dismal 0% rating on the review aggregator site Rotten Tomatoes.
