Greta Evans (Lauren Cohan), a 20-something American, arrives at the home of the elderly Mr and Mrs Heelshire (Jim Norton, Diana Hardcastle) to be the live-in nanny for their young boy.
After arming herself with a screwdriver, Greta uses Brahms' strict rules against him and coerces him to go to bed. He asks for a good night kiss, which she begrudgingly accepts. Brahms then tries to pull Greta in and make out with her, at which point she stabs him.
My Life with the Walter Boys' Cole, according to Netflix, is meant to be 17 years old. The actor behind Cole on the other hand is a lot older, as he was born on March 22, 1998, making him 25.

He swore he would, and for a while, things seemed okay. However, it was not to last. Cole lapsed into his abusive patterns and beat Greta so badly that she ended up losing the baby. It was this event that ultimately led to her breaking it off with Cole for good, and fleeing to the U.K. for some distance.
Malcolm concludes it must be Brahms, who never died in the fire, but Greta can't believe it. Brahms immediately goes for knocked down Cole. Malcolm and Greta try to stop him, but Brahms knocks them both aside and stabs Cole in the neck with a shard from the broken doll.
Greta eventually learns the real Brahms never died and is now an adult wearing a porcelain mask who lives inside the mansion walls. His parents intended Greta to be a companion for their evil son, but in the end, she seemingly kills him and the doll is smashed.
As it turns out, Brahms is actually a grown man living in the walls of his parents' British estate. The Heelshires had been hiding him away for two decades, since he murdered a young girl, and they brought Greta over from America as a parting gift of sorts.
It appears that The Boy is another horror movie about an evil doll. However, in a twist, Brahms is still alive and hiding in the house's walls, pretending that the doll is possessed to remain hidden and safe. The twist makes the story scarier and makes Brahms a frightening villain.
