Nemo is a curious and impressionable six-year-old, only child who lives with his overprotective, single-parent father, Marlin. Having led a sheltered life, Nemo brims with the excitement of starting school and finally seeing the wonders of the Great Barrier Reef.
Finding Dory is a 2016 American animated comedy-drama adventure film produced by Pixar Animation Studios and released by Walt Disney Pictures. Directed by Andrew Stanton, produced by Lindsey Collins and written by Stanton and Victoria Strouse, the film is the sequel to Finding Nemo (2003).
However, some scenes may scare kids, which is why I recommended it for 6+. But if you edit out just the right scenes, it's appropriate for as young as 2 years of age. That being said, there are some young kids I personally know that were traumatized by this movie, so watch out if your kids are sensitive viewers.

Another dark Pixar theory suggests the animated film predominantly set under the sea is meant to showcase the tragic loss in the eyes of a husband and father. More specifically, the theory posits that Nemo never existed in the movie, and instead was a figment of Marlin the clownfish's imagination.
