365 Days & 365 Days 2 Are Both Huge On Netflix While the original 365 Days movie crawled its way up to the number two spot in June 2020 after being released five months earlier, the sequel, 365 Days: This Day, earned nearly 78 million streaming hours in its first week on Netflix alone.
Despite this popularity, the film was universally panned by critics, with criticism aimed at its perceived glorification of the Mafia and heavy use of sex sequences that included sexual violence, drawing comparisons to the Fifty Shades trilogy; it is considered one of the worst films of all time.
The plot that is pro-rape and pro-kidnapping certainly isn't good. Technically speaking, the film also has a few issues..... though it is slick and 'hip' much of the time. While they do a lot of gimmicky cinematographic techniques to make the movie look good, it also often falls back on the tired use of the shaky cam.
Significantly, for both titles, the Unique Viewers metric never dropped below one million UVs each month. Add to that 365 Days's impressive 16.27% Share of Viewing (SoV) during its release month on Netflix, and there can only be one conclusion — American audiences couldn't get enough of this mafia “romance”!
Come for the simulated bumping and grinding, stay for the ridiculous drama, stilted acting, hilarious soundtrack, and laughably offensive ideas about male and female desire. Content collapsed.

Undoubtedly still awful viewing, but... I found it a tiny bit more watchable than its predecessor. '365 Days: This Day' still has nothing that even closely resembles a plot, still has extremely limited actors and still shouldn't even exist.
