Gigantosaurus/Giganto (voiced by Vincent Tong) is the titular character, a huge Giganotosaurus. Despite his seemingly vicious personality, he often aids the four little dinosaurs in their adventures.
Just like any dino can talk, but seems to choose only a few words as he only speaks when needed. He seems to love to travel around the land of his beloved home possibly for looking for better fruits or keeping eye on his few friends or danger.
For their part, the four small dinos idolize the large carnivore even if sometimes they are afraid of him. At the end of the first season, the gang forced to leave Cretacia admits to Giganto how much they admire him for who he is and subsequently Giganto to show them for the first time his benevolent nature.

It has occasional "violence," but that mostly consists of one dino roaring at another. No blood or even and actual injuries. As others have mentioned, it has little educational value, but it has great social messages. Everything is focused on being nice to friends, giving things, sharing, not bragging too much, etc.
