In addition to the violent scenes and scary visual images mentioned above, Avatar: The Way of Water has some scenes that could scare or disturb children aged 5-8 years.
Unnecessary swearing throughout the movie as well. It's extremely mean spirited, violent and disgusting. And they now speak fluent English as well as fluent dirty slangs. Definitely not appropriate for any kids under 13.
The movie is rated PG-13. That means ANY child below 13 can come in as long as he is accompanied by a parent. The burden is really on us to decide what is age-appropriate for our children.
One f-word and about 15 s-words. We also hear “a–,” “b–ch,” “b–tard,” “crap,” “g-dd–n,” “d–n,” “h—” and the British profanities “bloody” and “bugger.” Jesus' name is abused once.
There is much less language than there was in the first, with the exception of one f word near the end. There is nudity (for anyone who wants to have their kids look away, it is near the beginning when the kids visit the lab.

The Last Airbender is based on an animated television series. It is an action adventure targeting younger children, but with scenes and images that might disturb children under 10.
This film is visually stunning. It simply has to be seen on the biggest screen possible in 3d. That's the best way to enjoy this film just let it consume you. The story is one that most people can get behind and it's enhanced by the visual storytelling on screen.
