A lot of the violence is depicted off-screen, but with occasional gory aftermath and without shying away from showing blood. Man gets his face eaten by a character, aftermath is later shown. A character gets killed offscreen.

The violence is the main issue that parents have regarding their kids playing this game. Five Nights at Freddy's mostly relies on jump scares and psychological horror in order to frighten players. There are explicit scenes of violence when animatronics attack players, though it's not considered to be overly gory.

The robots- animatronics- in FNaF aren't inherently evil. They just want to be avenged. The reason they try to kill you is because, as a Nightguard working for the Freddy Fazbear's Pizza Industry, you're required to wear purple uniforms. William was wearing a purple uniform when he killed those children.
The Five Nights at Freddy's movie is strictly for those 15 and over. Director Emma Tammi certainly hasn't watered down any of the elements that make the FNAF games so tense – in fact, ODEON's atmospheric big screen and surround sound dial them full up.

Teens/tweens are brutally killed, their bones snapped, eyes gouged out, eaten by monsters etc. There is a terrifying possession scene is season two and there is an exorcism scene that is very scary. In season four, a group of younger kids are killed in a horrific massacre.
Speaking of jump scares, “FNAF” incorporates some excellent ones throughout the movie's story. They are not always dramatic jump scares, which is an upside. Horror movies that utilize too many extreme jump scares become boring.
