This is a hard question to answer. Hogsmeade is the original Harry Potter land and features larger rides, though it's limited in terms of food and drink. If your family is partial to high-octane thrills, then Universal Orlando would probably be the better choice. Although Hollywood features some rides for thrill-seekers, such as the aforementioned Revenge of the Mummy coaster, Orlando boasts eight roller coasters between Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure.
Make sure you go there early in the morning so there's not a lot of waiting, it's 100% worth it. This a great area of Universal even if you're not superfans. The Forbidden Journey ride is great, but the flight of the hippogriff ride is very short and slightly disappointing. The set is great, and realistic.
