If you're going to see a film in 4DX, Wonka is a good one to choose as it is action packed meaning there's plenty of opportunities to feel immersed in the film as your seats shake and vibrate to match the on screen adventure.
Wonka is a fantastic family-friendly adventure and if you've ever wanted to try out 4DX I think this is the perfect screening to get a taste for it – who wouldn't want to be transported to a world filled with 'hover chocs' that help you fly?
The format employs motion-programmed seats that move in time with the on-screen action to help pull you further into the movie. 4DX also harnesses the immersive and tactile power of wind, water and scent effects to make the environment of a given film feel all the more tangible.
Wonka still isn't in my wheelhouse and if you don't enjoy musicals, I'm hesitant to recommend it. But if you're attached to the Charlie and the Chocolate Factory story or if you're in the mood to be swept away into a fantastical world of imagination, I think you'll enjoy Wonka wholeheartedly.

Water: The spray water used during the 4DX show is purified and should not cause physical injury, but it can wet clothing, damage moisture-sensitive clothing, cause slight odors, and affect makeup. In addition, such water can cause discomfort when using 3D glasses.
4DX films are not necessarily presented in 3D. 3D glasses will be required if the particular movie presented in 3D format. All 3D movies, a ticket surcharge applies for glasses, which must be returned at the end of every show.

Despite being a Digital screen, it does deliver comparable punch like the traditional dome shaped auditoriums. Sound is great too, with Dolby Digital. This one is worth returning to!
There's no bad seat in a 4DX auditorium as they all move along with the action. That being said, you'll be more engulfed by the fog and the bubbles closer to the front as that's where the machines are located, and you'll get a fuller experience of the rain right in the centre of the auditorium.
Can you turn the effects off? There is a button on your arm rest that allows you to turn the water effects off. No other effects can be turned on/off. All chairs move together, so we cannot stop individual chairs from moving.
