Did the dinosaurs in Jurassic World Dominion really exist?
That said, *none* of the dinosaurs presented in Jurassic World Dominion are actually all that paleo-accurate. For example; both Pyroraptor and Atrociraptor are several times the size of their real-life counterparts, and while Pyroraptor would have had feathers, the kind depicted do not match those on the fossils.
Brontosaurus, whose name means “Thunder Lizard,” is not an actual dinosaur. It is actually a mix of Apatosaurus, meaning “Deceptive Lizard,” and Camarasaurus, meaning “Chambered Lizard,” due to the hastiness of paleontologist Othniel Charles Marsh.
For the original film, special-effects artist Stan Winston created an animatronic T. rex measuring 20 feet high and 40 feet long, while Industrial Light & Magic (ILM) created a CGI version for certain scenes. Colin Trevorrow served as the primary writer and director of the Jurassic World trilogy.

How do we know about them, then? All of our direct evidence of dinosaurs comes from the geologic record: from Triassic, Jurassic, and Cretaceous sedimentary rock formations around the world. Sedimentary rocks are those that are made up of materials deposited at the Earth's surface, e.g., sediments.

Ultimately though, we need intact DNA to resurrect species. So, although scientists have made a lot of progress, the prospect remains in the realm of science fiction. All data from fossils and experiments to date suggests that DNA is simply unlikely to survive for tens of millions of years.
A new study says the T. rex family looked more like lizards, with scaly lips covering and sealing their mouths when closed. Close your eyes and imagine a Tyrannosaurus rex. Your dinosaur probably has a hulking frame, scaly skin, puny arms and protruding teeth it wielded to be the apex predator of its era.
