Into the Spider-Verse is set in New York City, where middle-class teenager Miles Morales (voiced by Shameik Moore) struggles to adjust to an upscale new high school despite the support of his parents, police officer Jefferson Davis (Brian Tyree Henry) and nurse Rio Morales (Luna Lauren Vélez).
After winning a scholastic lottery and passing a tough entry test, Miles is given a place at an elite boarding school called the Brooklyn Visions Academy. He is enrolled in a gifted program for brilliant students but, like any typical teen, has his own struggles with making friends and fitting in.
Plus, Morales is a middle school student in 8th grade at Brooklyn Visions Academy in Into the Spider-Verse. He could be 13 or 14 in the film, but likely no older than that. As a result, Morales is likely around 16 or 17 years old in Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse.
Across the Spider-Verse clearly introduces Miles as a sophomore, as his parents have a meeting with a guidance counselor and say exactly that. Miles also tells Gwen it's been a year and four months since he last saw her. He then confirms at his father's party that he is 15.
Miles Morales was born 2000s in Brooklyn, New York. He was born as the only child of the police captain Jefferson Davis and the nurse Rio Morales. As Morales was growing up, his hometown began to be attacked by super villains and other threats which were stopped by the new local superhero Spider-Man.

Miles attends Brooklyn Visions Academy, a high school that's clearly been inspired by the test-in specialized high schools in New York City, such as Stuyvesant, Bronx Science, or Brooklyn Tech.
Hailey Cooper is a recurring original supporting character in Marvel's Spider-Man series, first appeared in Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales. As of Marvel's Spider-Man 2, she becomes Miles Morales' love interest.
Miles Morales' co-creator Brian Michael Bendis gave credit to Glover for influencing the new hero's looks since he was delighted with the prospect of an African-American Spider-Man after seeing him dressed in the Spider-Man pajamas. Miles is 13 years old in his first appearance.

Rio began to move on with her life, venturing out into the dating scene again, striking up a serious romantic relationship with a man by the name of Albert Moon, who has a daughter named Cindy Moon.
Her spider-sense led her to Brooklyn Visions Academy where she intentionally bumped into Miles Morales, also known as Spider-Man™. When Gwen is pulled into the alternative universe and meets Miles, she becomes his ally and later, his friend. She acts as a sort of mentor to Miles, alongside Peter B.
His current superhero name Spin came from Gwen's suggestion of calling him Spider Spin, leading to him choosing the name Spin, in the short WEB-STER when he has to come up with a new superhero name so that WEB-Ster will not be confused. He is the first member of Team Spidey to have both his parents shown on screen.
Since Earth-1610's Miles Morales wasn't supposed to become Spider-Man in Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, Miguel may resent him for causing Earth-42's Peter Parker to miss on his powers similarly to how Miguel's experiment worked while his first test subject died.

Miles Morales in Spider-Verse showcases his power by integrating his abilities with his sense of identity and inner strength. Miles is the strongest Spider-Man because his powers seem to be deeply tied to his emotions, reaching incredibly upper limits when he's pushed to his limits.
Gwen Stacy—the Spider-Gwen/Ghost-Spider version, at least—was 19 when she was intoduced, and at the end of Spider-Gwen (Vol. 2) she spent a year in prison, making her ~20 to 21 years old currently…
In the interim, Miles developed a strong crush on Hailey but found himself unable to ask her out on a date, largely due to his many commitments as Spider-Man in defending New York.
But Gwen Stacy isn't the only heroic love interest that has been explored for Miles Morales. In comics, Miles has also shown his interest in Kamala Khan - aka Ms. Marvel, and was once dating Katie Bishop - an alternate reality version of the same character who became Hawkeye.
The character saves Mary Jane Watson during an invasion of the Marvel Zombies after Arcadia's Loki had fired at the part of the Shield that was closest to Arcadia. On Earth-8, Spider-Gwen is married to Miles Morales and is the mother of Charlotte and Max Morales, both of whom also have Spider Powers.
