Morbius' "I Am Venom" Line References In-Universe Events
This scene not only proves that Venom and Morbius take place in the same universe but also references Eddie Brock and Venom's actions in San Francisco, which have made them fugitives by the end of Let There Be Carnage.
The new Morbius movie is made by Sony, in association with Marvel Studios. To cut a long story short, a mutual back-scratching deal allows Spider-Man-related Marvel characters to appear in Sony's superhero movies and vice-versa. Hence Peter Parker popping up at the end of Venom: Let There Be Carnage.
