Our Call: STREAM IT. Oppenheimer is an ambitious film (one of the most ambitious ever) about an ambitious project (also one of the most ambitious ever, for better or worse). Nolan blows up the traditional biopic and rebuilds it in thrilling, dynamic fashion.
In fact, Oppenheimer might be the best film I watched in a long, long time. Very different than Nolan's recent films, especially the Sci-Fi ones, but shows that Nolan can master the Biopic/Drama genre just as well as he can any other genre he tried to tackle yet.
But sure enough, the biopic starring Cillian Murphy as the so-called father of the atomic bomb has become a full-fledged blockbuster with a fighting chance at joining the billion-dollar club. After 10 weeks of release, “Oppenheimer” has earned a staggering $926 million at the worldwide box office.
Too much formula and very little original thought. You may not like Oppenheimer, but at least it's not Out of Africa. I think there's a pretty good film in there, just that it would only be 2 hours long. The shifting timelines added little for me, and the Florence Pugh storyline was pretty unnecessary.
Oppenheimer has some really excellent cinematography and IMAX really helps to show that off as best as possible. It's really a very beautiful film in my opinion.

Is Oppenheimer hard to watch?
For anyone not familiar with this particular history and its players, Oppenheimer is not just difficult to follow, but hard to care about.
