This is the story of an Asian Leopard Cat named Sabor; but even more importantly it is the story of a shy, gentle spirited, resilient species of cat at peril in the wild yet suffering from lack of public awareness.
Sabor is a dangerous, mysterious, aggressive, ferocious, destructive, and powerful leopard who is feared throughout the jungle. Notably, she is the only animal character in the film (other than the baboons) who never speaks, instead communicating with snarls and roars.

After Kerchak is challenged and treacherously killed by the rogue Tublat, Kala adopts the young Tarzan to replace her deceased baby with Kerchak; Tarzan grows up to eventually challenge and exile Tublat.
