Coriolanus Snow, the authoritarian president of the dystopian nation of Panem, is the central antagonist in Suzanne Collins's Hunger Games trilogy. Though he's certainly easy to hate, as is the case with many fictional villains, there's more to Snow than meets the eye.
Along the way, Snow goes on a journey of self-discovery as he grapples with his blossoming feelings for Lucy Gray and his hunger for power. Though he straddles the line of good and evil throughout the film, he eventually transforms into the villainous President Snow we all know by the end of the movie.
Alma Coin was the true villain of The Hunger Games, with Katniss actually seeing her as more of a threat than Coriolanus Snow. At the same time, it was Snow who was made out to be the bad guy in previous movies, making some question why Katniss killed Coin and spared him.

President Alma Coin is the main antagonist of Mockingjay, the final novel of The Hunger Games trilogy. She is the president of District 13 and is very corrupt and in some ways worse than President Coriolanus Snow.
cruel, plotting, and cunning. President Snow has no hesitation to murder friend and foe alike, and he uses his impressive intelligence in service of his desire to manipulate and control. Basically, he never loses at playing mind games – and he likes to play them to the death.
Snow can't stand to see a young woman betray a young man's affection—his view of what happened 65 years ago. And so he takes out his old, festering wound on Katniss.
Snow laughs after Katniss killed Coin because he enjoys the irony of the situation. He avoided the official execution ceremony, even though Panem's citizens still take their revenge on him, while Katniss ends up snatching away the victory and power that Coin thinks she has successfully secured.
Essentially, Katniss was afraid that if she was to kill President Snow, then the whole revolution fails, and the rivalry would still continue. Therefore, Katniss had to sacrifice by killing Coin in order to end war, and knew that Coin couldn't do anything better than Snow to save the Panem.
Katniss became a symbol of rebellion and hope for many people, which threatened Snow's authority. By making her life miserable, Snow hoped to weaken her spirit and discourage others from following in her footsteps. Fear: Snow was afraid that Katniss could incite a rebellion that could challenge his regime.
Unknown to most people, President Snow poisoned others but drank the same drink as them to cover up his tracks, resulting in perpetual blood sores in his mouth. The scent of these sores are covered up by the signature white roses he is always seen carrying.
Snow was 18 during the 10th Hunger Games, making him 8 when the first Hunger Games took place. This means that during the 74th Hunger Games, he was indeed 82 (74+8). So he died at 83 in "The Mockingjay," since that was during the 75th Hunger Games...
She was also against the games itself, whilst Snow believed the Districts were below him and continued working to implement new aspects of the games. Their relationship was so undesirable that Snow fired Tigris as a stylist personally.
She remembers that they did indeed promise not to lie to each other anymore, and she realizes that Snow wasn't lying to her about Coin's role in the parachute bombing. He has no reason to lie to Katniss. His death is certain, but the future of the Capitol is not.
By killing Coin, Katniss ensured a chance for a peaceful and fair country, avenged her sister's death, and liberated Panem from the fascist government. The Hunger Games franchise is still an iconic series of books and movies, with the latter truly cementing the property as an international phenomenon.
As the bombs which were used to kill Capitol children reassembled an invention designed by Gale and Beetee, Katniss began realizing that Snow was telling the truth.

In the end, Katniss and Gale grew apart, as many childhood friends and young loves do. She needed something different in her life, and with Gale's link to Primrose's death, Katniss found a reason to cut ties. If Katniss ever wanted to find comfort again, she knew she had to return to Peeta for the long term.
A ruthless dictator who doesn't care about the people of Panem, Snow manipulates those around him, including Katniss, in order to protect and grow his power. Since the end of Katniss' first Hunger Games, President Snow has been wary of Katniss and the power she wields over the districts.
I think the cruelest part was forcing the kids to kill each other. Not to mention making their families watch, making them anticipate and celebrate it, the whole forced "in love" thingy..and more. Just the cruelty of it all.
He grows up in D12 with the Covey, and eventually at the age of 24 in what would be year 36 he gets married and has a baby boy born in year 37. That baby turns out to be Katniss's father. He gets married in year 57 and Katniss is born in year 58. So Snow could be Katniss's great grandfather.
The reason for this is a couple of different things. First of all, Johanna and Annie were not really able to be used for anything in the Capitol's mind, so they let them come back. Peeta was already fearful of Katniss after the Tracker Jacker venom, so Snow figured he'd let him come back to really shake Katniss.
