The Crow is not a meritless film, and some moments work, but for the most part it smacks of a film that attracted a great deal of attention due to the controversy surrounding it than for its substance.
This is a great film with some horribly sad history for the fact that Brandon Lee was killed while making it. But as a whole, it's one of the absolute best movies from the early 1990's. It's a dark story in its subject matter, but so well done you can't take your eyes off of the screen.
