The Universal flick, a co-production between James Wan's Atomic Monster Productions and Blumhouse, is now available to stream on Peacock. There are two versions available: the theatrical PG-13 version and a new unrated cut.
But this killer doll genre really shines when it's full gore, per Chucky in the Child's Play franchise. Peacock has the unrated cut for M3GAN, allowing fans to soak in more blood and profanity. Admittedly, those aspects make the flick better, shaping the doll as more unhinged and intimidating.
M3GAN is a horror, sci-fi movie that shows what could happen if we let Artificial Intelligence take over. The film is very violent and scary and it is therefore not suitable for children aged under 15 years and parental guidance is recommended for children aged 15 years.
I understand that some kids are more sensitive to other things and that's why common sense made the little things seem big. I said 12+ but really it doesn't matter. If you think you or your kid are mature enough to handle swearing or violence then I say go for it.
