New Ant-Man is not a bad movie, but it's repeating current trend that been plaguing new Marvel productions. Main character is just an excuse to introduce few new characters that are definitely going to have their own stories. That makes Paul Rudd's character less important. You don't feel that this is his story.
Is there anything inappropriate in Ant-Man Quantumania?
In addition to the violent scenes and scary visual images mentioned above, Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania has some scenes that could scare or disturb children aged 8-13 years. For example: Janet is confronted by a huge spider which splits in 2 and then 4.
For being a villain who has been to multiple dimensions, Kang in Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania feels largely one-dimensional. The issue here isn't Jonathan Majors's performance, as, again, his performances so far in the MCU have been absolutely stellar.
The scene at the very end of the credits shows Kang or a Kang variant (again, played by Majors) giving a presentation in an early 1900s show about the fabric of space-time. In the audience, we see two characters from the show Loki: Loki himself and a man names Mobius (Owen Wilson).
In Quantumania, the Council of Kangs looks to be governed by three distinctive versions of Kang: Rama-Tut (the Egyptian Pharaoh), Immortus (the older, bearded version), and the Scarlet Centurion.
“In the end, with its clumsy collision of influences, star power, CGI that is often rubbery or outright ugly, and a convoluted plot that should have an Excedrin tie-in, 'Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania' is like a child's mixed media project, made of paper mache, glitter, and hunks of rotting ground meat,” she said.
The overall effect was a movie that didn't have the spirit of the previous Ant-Man movies and also wasn't breaking any new ground. It truly felt like Marvel was phoning it in, making a movie just to tease its next few movies. It's one thing to be bad while trying to do something ambitious.
Not only did the third installment in the Ant-Man franchise reject the same light tone of its predecessors, but the narrative was jumbled, its CGI was some of Marvel's dodgiest in years, and it somehow managed to waste one of the studio's most charming talents, Paul Rudd.
Prior to his appearance in Quantumania, though, Majors made his MCU debut in the Season 1 finale of Loki, playing one (of many) variants of his villain Kang the Conqueror named He Who Remains.
Kang isn't physically stronger than Thanos, and if the two were to square up in a one-vs-one fight then the Titan would arguably win. However, Kang's knowledge of the multiverse means that would quite literally be several steps ahead of Thanos at all times. As a result, Kang wins this battle.
In his last opportunity to escape, he had a brutal duel against Ant-Man, which resulted in Kang being shrunken and decimated by his own Engine Core, though his death inadvertently alerted the Council of Kangs about people interacting with the Multiverse, prompting them to take their own measures.

Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania by itself was a decent, average movie that had its moments while also having their cringy moments also. But for the beginning/start-up of Phase 5, not going to lie: it sets up Phase 5 very well.
Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, it's sad to say, is not good. It is not good in many, many ways. The weirdly blank performances, the thunderingly dull fights, the nothingy plot: it is not good.
Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania's reviews were very mixed after initially positive early reactions. The continued divisiveness of the MCU Phase 5 movie has resulted in Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania tying a record for the lowest score of any MCU movie on Rotten Tomatoes.
In what was disappointing for many, Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania failed at the box office, at least in comparison to the MCU's usually high standards.
The first act is about 12 minutes long, and it's 12 minutes of these foolish woke sensibilities. However, the rest of the movie is fairly woke-free, and even paints Scott as a heroic and selfless dad who would sacrifice himself for his child without a second thought.
He warns Scott Lang that he's the only one who can "stop what's coming," e.g. the other Kang variants. So might he have been seeking to become the one true Kang, killing all the other versions of himself to stop them from messing with the multiverse and restoring a single timeline where he's in charge?
Presented as the leader of the trio of Kang variants seen in Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania's mid-credits scene, Immortus is the bearded Kang who sports a large hat and has blue skin, unlike his other variants. In Marvel Comics, Immortus is the oldest variant of Kang and the man Kang is destined to become.
Polygon spoke to Quantumania director Peyton Reed about giving Kang such a big feature role only to kill him at the end of the story, and Reed confirmed: Kang is dead — long live Kang.
