Rudd is a fan of MLB's Kansas City Royals, Kansas Jayhawks sports, and the NFL's Kansas City Chiefs, for whom he narrated the 2007 season of HBO's Hard Knocks. Rudd received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on July 1, 2015, unveiling the 2,554th star on the mile-long strip of plaques on Hollywood Boulevard.
The Ant-Man star grew up in Kansas City, and he's remained true to his home team. Ahead of the Super Bowl in 2023, in which the Chiefs played the Philadelphia Eagles, Paul Rudd told PEOPLE that he expected the game to be "very stressful."
After nabbing small roles in TV movies and series throughout the '90s, Paul launched into stardom with his role as Josh, the love interest of Alicia Silverstone's Cher Horowitz, in the 1995 film Clueless.
He was also a fixture at games during the Royals' playoff runs and has been a staunch supporter of Kansas City, even wearing a T-shirt of a popular Irish pup in Kansas City's historic Westport neighborhood in the above photo.

Rudd lives with his family in New York, but he spent his formative years in a suburb of Kansas City and remains a diehard fan of the team, sometimes to a degree that surprises him. “I'm a 53-year-old man watching these guys that could all be my sons playing the game and I'm so emotionally invested in it,” he marveled.
