Funeral Chase, Furious 7 Take the first big chase in the film, which is high drama in the scope of the series: Dom tears out of Han's funeral service in a Dodge Charger, in pursuit of the man (Statham's Shaw) who literally blew up his family home in an earlier scene.
The car was Dom's father's, who died in a driving accident and, because of this tragedy, the Charger sat in the Toretto's garage untouched until the notorious scene at the end of the movie where Dom races Brian O'Connor in his Mark lV Supra.

Per these last three films, a viewer could read Dominic Toretto as a Cuban man with a Mexican father, a white brother and sister, and a Puerto Rican grandmother. He's a guy who has made homes in the Dominican Republic (in Fast & Furious), Brazil (in Fast Five), and Los Angeles.
While escaping, Han's Mazda was T-boned, and the character was presumably killed when the vehicle exploded. Seeing as the event took place after Fast & Furious 6, the car was seen again in the movie's post-credits scene as well as archive footage in Furious 7.
