In 1999's Peter Parker: Spider-Man #8, Blade is bitten by Morbius. Not much is made of it until Blade: Vampire Hunter #1. Coming out a few months later, it revealed the bite mutated Blade, giving him the same powers seen in the film.
During their confrontation, Morbius bit Blade, who soon realized that his blood enzymes were not enough to protect him from his foe's unique form of vampirism. Though allegedly a daywalker since birth, Blade now transformed fully into the thing he hated most, manifesting vampiric fangs and a bloodthirst.
In actuality, as revealed on the DVD commentary by writer David Goyer, del Toro decided to change the villain for the follow up film. Morbius was tied strictly to Norrington, so he was dropped when the director left the franchise.

This scene not only proves that Venom and Morbius take place in the same universe but also references Eddie Brock and Venom's actions in San Francisco, which have made them fugitives by the end of Let There Be Carnage.
While it's up for debate, Blade is the strongest out of the two. He has the experience, the physical skill, and has seen too many creatures like Morbius to back down at all.

Michael was supposed to appear as the main villain in Blade II, but Marvel didn't allow Guillermo del Toro to use the character. It is assumed Michael was vetoed, due to him belonging to the Spider-Man copyright, though at the time of Blade 's release the first Spider-Man film had yet to begin production.
Blade remained active in New Orleans, defeating the vampire Ulysses Sojourner and his own former ally, Morbius, who was under Sojourner's mental thrall. Blade followed Morbius to New York, where, while teamed with Spider-Man, Blade was bitten by Morbius.

Why is Blade so much stronger than other vampires?
Blade is a Daywalker due to his mother being bitten and turned while she was pregnant with him. As a result, he has all of their strengths, but none of their weaknesses. Drake is another Daywalker. As the first vampire, he is stronger than most of his descendants.
Blade's history with the Lord of Darkness extends back into his comic book origin when he made minor appearances in Tomb of Dracula. While Blade hasn't permanently taken care of Dracula, he has proven repeatedly that he is fully capable of taking down this undead monstrosity.
The C+ score is the second-worst of any Marvel adaptation, ahead of only Fantastic Four (2015). Reviewing the film for Collider, Emma Kiely felt that the "central problem of Morbius is a lazy and uninspiring script" and added that "no weight or depth is given to any character."
This overwhelmingly negative reception reflects the critical consensus of 272 reviews. Most of the criticism comes from the film's lack of structure and coherent script. Morbius, which already missed its perfect release date, moves at a rushed pace while compromising its timeline, characterization, and logic.
