Walls have gone up around the large eastern show building of Fantasyland at Disneyland. This entire area is home to three classic dark ride attractions – Peter Pan's Flight, Alice in Wonderland, and Mr. Toad's Wild Ride.

Alice in Wonderland's Second Refurbishment
It is now completely covered and surrounded by the fence. Following this second refurbishment, Alice in Wonderland will reopen to Disneyland guests on July 21. The madcap adventure through the classic 1951 Disney animated film was also closed in June.

Alice in Wonderland was a gift from the philanthropist and publisher George Delacorte. He intended the donation as a gift to the children of the City and a memorial for his recently deceased wife Margarita (1891–1956), an enthusiastic linguist and reader who helped him to establish his publishing empire.

Alice Pleasance Liddell (1852 – 1934) was the little girl who inspired Lewis Carroll's Alice's Adventures in Wonderland and Through the Looking Glass. Under her married name of Alice Hargreaves, she came to live in Lyndhurst and was a society hostess.
