In the end, Dorothy learns that the secret to getting back to Kansas is to click the heels of the Ruby Slippers together three times and say, "There's no place like home; there's no place like home . . ." (129). The film's interest in home is certainly not accidental.

Aunt Em is a fictional character from the Oz books. She is the aunt of Dorothy Gale and wife of Uncle Henry, and lives together with them on a farm in Kansas.
The journey begins with the call to adventure. Dorothy decides to leave home. She then refuses the call—after being fooled by the soon-to-be-wizard– to go back home. But as life would have it, she is tossed into the air by an unexpected tornado, her familiar world now completely upside down.
Dorothy: Oh, but anyway, Toto, we're home. Home! And this is my room, and you're all here. And I'm not gonna leave here ever, ever again, because I love you all, and - oh, Auntie Em - there's no place like home!
Dorothy wakes up in the Land of Oz, where she discovers that her house has landed on and killed the Wicked Witch of the East. Dorothy meets the Munchkins and the good Witch of the North, who gives Dorothy the dead Witch's magic silver shoes.
She's gullible, not particularly bright, and occasionally petulant, and even though these do count as weaknesses, the way she relates to them makes them much less effective. The main problem with Dorothy's weaknesses is that they don't really hold her back.
In the end, Glinda reveals that Dorothy can return home by simply closing her eyes, clicking the heels of the slippers together three times and repeating the phrase, "There's no place like home." The slippers were designed by Gilbert Adrian, MGM's chief costume designer.
“You've always had the power,” Glinda, the good witch tells Dorothy at the end of her journey. When Dorothy asks why Glinda didn't tell her that before, Glinda replies that Dorothy wouldn't have believed her — she had to find out for herself. And like Dorothy, women today are on a heroine's journey.
She kisses Dorothy on the forehead, a magical act that serves to protect Dorothy on the journey, because "no one will dare injure a person who has been kissed by the Witch of the North".
In the last scene of the MGM film The Wizard of Oz, Dorothy Gale wakes up in her bed to find herself surrounded by her family. She looks round to see the faces of the people she loves and says, “there's no place like home”.
In conclusion, the Cowardly Lion in “The Wizard of Oz” represents courage and the journey to find it. His character teaches us important lessons about the nature of fear, the importance of self-confidence, and the transformative power of confronting our insecurities.
Eventually, she is able tap her heels together, utter the powerful charmed words, “There's no place like home,” and magically return, with Toto, to her home in Kansas.
