Loki takes his place as the God of Stories and holds the timelines together, forming a tree-like time structure (AKA Yggdrasil). This also means that for the rest of time, Loki will be alone, but also will oversee his family and friends forever.
Loki goes back to the loom, transforming into the god we all know and (sometimes) love, and destroys it as his friends look on, telling them he knows what type of god he needs to be. He finds himself entangled among the branches, physically gathering them and pulling them with him as he becomes the god of time.
What does it mean now that Loki is He Who Remains?
Loki, as it turns out, was the only one who could save the TVA—and so from the moment Sylvie killed He Who Remains, he was destined to need to hold the timelines in place. He's now Loki Who Remains, possibly for the rest of time.
The part where we see her illuminated by a purple glow, which we can assume is coming from Alioth, the cloud monster introduced in the Loki Season 1 episode, “Journey into Mystery,” isn't all that surprising either.

Is Loki a time god now?
By saving and organizing every existing timeline, Loki has become the God of Time — a higher being who keeps the past, present, and future of every universe from being erased by outside forces. However, Loki has also become the God of Stories, as he has placed everybody's personal journey above his own.

“He Who Remains”, Kang, and many others where part of a multiversal brainstrust that developed the technology the TVA was founded on. In short, “He Who Remains” and “Kang the Conqueror” are both “really” variants of the same person. Neither is less “real” than the other, but they are not the same single individual.

Despite the shocking level of power expressed by Kang the Conqueror in Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, Loki season 1 implied that He Who Remains was, in fact, stronger than the Conqueror and all his other variants.
This stemmed from his childhood and the belief that Odin didn't love him. While Odin's hiding of Loki's true parentage and Thor's demeaning behavior may have influenced Loki, ultimately he is to blame for his villainous actions due to his own issues with self-acceptance and misinterpretation of his upbringing.
While speaking with Fallon, Hiddleston discussed how his Marvel journey has finally reached its “conclusion.” “It's the conclusion to season 2, it's also the conclusion to seasons 1 and 2, it's also the conclusion to six films and 12 episodes and 14 years of my life,” he said.
Although he's alive, there's no confirmation of a Loki season 3 or his return in future Avengers movies. Marvel has not confirmed when or if Loki will return. While there might be potential for a variant of Loki in a future project, it remains unclear. Loki's ending makes sense as a final one.
