Did Celebrimbor betray Sauron?
Before this, Celebrimbor believed Sauron to be what he had claimed to be, but realising the truth he and the Elves of Eregion defied Sauron by withholding the other rings from him. He had already sent the three Rings away for safekeeping.
Decades later, Talion eventually succumbs to the corruption of Isildur's ring and joins Sauron's forces as a Nazgûl, replacing Isildur. He goes with the others to hunt Frodo and the One Ring and pursues Frodo from the Shire to Bree.
In Telerin High-Elf Celebrimbor Version he is the follower of Galadriel's boyfriend/husband Celeborn. One of the three Teleri who accompanied Celeborn to Exile when he left Aman to follow Galadriel into Middle-earth.
There isn't any reason for The Rings of Power to write Celeborn out of the narrative, so if anything, Galadriel saying Celeborn was killed in the war isn't a way of writing him out of the show so much as a tease of his eventual addition in a future season.

Unlike in the books, Celebrimbor doesn't appear to be an innocent pawn in Sauron's plan to create evil and unleash it upon the world. In fact, it seems as though he is the mastermind at work here, and the driving force of evil and greed that makes the rings so corrupted in the fist place.
He is old, but elves don't age in Tolkien's writings. Galadriel certainly doesn't. There are several possible answers: Círdan is one of the oldest elves to ever have lived, thousands of years older than Galadriel, (about 30,000 years old), and this might contribute to the look of old age.
Although Celebrimbor forged the Three Rings alone in Eregion, they were moulded by Sauron's craft and were bound to the One. Why is Galadriel's husband dead in Rings of Power?

Isildur features briefly in voiced-over flashback sequences of Peter Jackson's The Lord of the Rings film trilogy. The video game Middle-earth: Shadow of War departs from Tolkien's narrative by having Sauron make Isildur into a Nazgûl or ringwraith.
Isildur was later killed by Orcs and the Ring was lost in the Disaster of the Gladden Fields. After his death, the Orcs brought Isildur's body to the diminished and vengeful Sauron, who put a Ring on his finger, reviving him as one of his servants and eventually turning him into a ringwraith.
