Formerly wielded by Magistrate Morgan Elsbeth, a beskar spear rings with distilled purity when struck against other beskar. Not only can it withstand lightsaber blows; it is capable of piercing Mandalorian armor.
Morgan Elsbeth had in her possession a beskar spear which she used in combat against Ahsoka Tano. The spear was then gifted to Din Djarin after the liberation of Calodan. The spear was later reforged into an armor for Grogu, as the armorer considered it dangerous to Mandalorians.

Is Beskar immune to lightsabers?
In The Mandalorian season 2, episode 5, "The Jedi", Ahsoka Tano surprise attacks Din Djarin, who uses his beskar armor (including his bracers) to block her lightsabers.

Phasma's armor appears very similar to Mandalorian beskar, as it effortlessly deflects a blaster bolt fired by Rose Tico in The Last Jedi. While The Mandalorian shows that the remnants of The Empire are in possession of beskar, this is not canonically what Phasma wears.
Because the Darksaber's sentience intertwined its fate with the rulers of Mandalore, Mando's rejection of that role meant that their wills could never align. While there is no in-universe canon explanation to justify that change in the Jedi's clothing, the Star Wars Expanded Universe established that wearing bulky armor could slowly interrupt the Jedi's connection with the Force.
Beskar armor can resist the first few blows of a lightsaber, but repeated strikes at the same spot will damage the armor though. Beskar was resistant to lightsaber strikes to a large extent. The reason Mandalorians adopted beskar was, during the Jedi-Mandalorian Wars, that it could take several lightsaber blows.
Did Captain Phasma have a Beskar spear? No her spear was not made from Beskar. Captain Phasma carried a quicksilver baton compacted within a containment field owned. It served her well and was the perfect weapon for close-quarters combats.
It's possible that Gideon used the pure beskar from a fallen Mandalorian in order to craft his own helmet from scratch, or he just used it as is. It's also a possibility that Esposito's villain is using the same general helmet of a dead Mandalorian but made some alterations to it along the way.
