In the ensuing fight, Harry ultimately sacrifices himself to save Peter during the ensuing fight/battle, Harry is impaled in the back with his own glider by Venom, much to the horror of Peter.
Peter finally manages to defeat Venom, and after coming to a truce and understanding with Sandman, finds a mortally wounded Harry down below with Mary Jane. The two friends forgive each other and reconcile before Harry dies with Peter and Mary Jane at his side.

Secretly bonded to the Venom symbiote, Harry appeared to be fully healed from his terminal illness and reconnected with Peter and Mary Jane, eventually learning that Peter is Spider-Man.
Harry doesn't die, but his ordeal with Venom leaves him in a coma at the end of Marvel's Spider-Man 2. In one of the game's final scenes, Norman visits his son in the hospital. He mourns Harry's state, and curses the Spider-Men for having "ruined" his son.
Though his time with Oscorp led the company into financial hardship as he dealt with mental health issues and his own difficult relationship with the Goblin formula. It apparently led to his death, but Norman replaced him with a duplicate or clone of Harry who continued his life in his originator's place.

When he discovers that Spiderman was really Peter, Harry ended their friendship and desires revenge. However, after finding out that his father's death was really because of his own doing, he reconciled with Peter, and ended up sacrificing his life to save Peter.
Just as Peter throws one of the New Goblin's pumpkin bombs at the symbiote, Brock attempts to rejoin it and is killed along with it. In July 2007, a spin-off of Spider-Man 3 following Brock was being developed, with Topher Grace being considered to reprise his role.

If The Amazing Spider-Man was underwhelming, the sequel was overstuffed. Electro's introduction, the emergence of Green Goblin, Peter and Gwen's relationship woes, the Parker family's secrets, the true intentions of Oscorp, Gwen's death and various smaller side stories are all left battling for screen time.
Harry eventually turns into the Hobgoblin creature, gaining super strength, pyrokinesis and orange Goblin-like super skin. Harry tries to stop himself during a battle with Spider-Man, but Shaw takes over and is wounded by S.H.I.E.L.D. soldiers.

The villans are very poorly constructed, specially Harry Osborn, that was so well constructed at the previous trilogy. It's was kinda desappointing. Electro's motivation was also weak, maybe the movie tries to introduce to many characters at once.
Clinically known as Retroviral Hypodysplasia, the Osborn Curse has no actual diseases to base it on. In the films, the condition is tied to the Osborn family and slowly ravages the body before leaving the person in a state where they are in constant pain and can no longer walk.
