Films. Michael Myers made his first appearance in the 1978 film Halloween. At the beginning of Halloween, a six-year-old Michael murders his teenage sister Judith on Halloween night in 1963.
In this timeline, Laurie faked her death in a car accident as a way of escaping her murderous brother, whose body was not found after Halloween II. She is now living under the name Keri Tate, and works as the headmistress of a California private school, where her teenage son John (Josh Hartnett) is a student.
While unconscious, Laurie had a dream wherein she saw images of her brother at a young age and she recalled her mother telling her that she was actually adopted. Waking from this dream, Laurie began to slowly grasp her connection to Michael, though she had yet to realize that he was in fact her brother.
Michael had only one sister, Judith, and he killed her in the opening scenes of the 1978 film. The only connection that Laurie has to Michael is that Laurie's father is the realtor who is trying to sell Michael's family home.
When she spotted him, she yelled at him to leave but he only got closer and began stabbing her in the chest and back until she fell onto her floor, dead. Judith's body was later discovered by her parents and Michael was sent to Smith's Grove Sanitarium for his mental illness.

Why did Michael hate Judith?
Michael was supposed to be being looked after by his sister who was babysitting him - but instead she went off to have sex. This leads to the theory that Judith choosing her boyfriend over him, saw Michael react by killing her.
What made Michael Myers so terrifying in 1978's Halloween was that he didn't have a reason to go after Laurie, and he simply saw her and chose her as his target. The sequel, Halloween II, made a huge and highly divisive reveal by explaining that Laurie was actually Michael's youngest sister.
For instance, The Cult of Thorn storyline from the original movie track implies that Michael Myers isn't human. At six years old, he became a pawn, and with the first sacrifice of Judith, his soul got infected by the murderous being worshiped by the cult. As such, he might not be able to communicate like a human does.
Another weakness pointed out by viewers is Michael Myers' iconic mask, as every time he has been unmasked he stops killing, even though he had his victim in front and completely helpless.
The masks in horror films help dehumanize the villains and make them scarier, as well as provide an instant hook for the advertisements. Most of the slashers also had actual reasons to hide their faces, whether it was to disguise a deformity or hide their identity if and when the police came calling.
As the franchise evolved, Laurie was given a daughter, Jamie Lloyd (Danielle Harris), introduced in 1988's Halloween 4: The Return of Michael Myers. Jamie became the new protagonist after Laurie was killed and written out of the franchise's first cannon.
Steven Lloyd (born October 30, 1995) is the son and only child of Jamie Lloyd. Shortly after Steven's birth, Jamie was killed and the defenseless Steven was protected from his great-uncle by his adoptive parents, Tommy Doyle and Kara Strode. He would eventually be given up a few weeks later.

Despite Michael murdering his sister Judith, her boyfriend and Deborah's boyfriend, she still supported her son as he drifted further into himself. Sadly, after witnessing Michael murder a nurse, Deborah couldn't take what her son became, and she killed herself.
Due to the trauma of the previous Halloween, Jamie has also lost her ability to speak and suffers from irregular seizures and nightmares. On October 31st, 1989, Jamie is visited by her foster sister, Rachel, as well as Rachel's best friend, Tina Williams.

From what is visible, Michael is shown to have a severely scarred face, likely due to the townspeople's attack in Halloween Kills, while he is shown to be a much older man with wisps of white hair.
Michael however is not without his fears as it indicated that he wears his mask to hide his face and emotions due to the fact Michael's face is seen to be normal looking and rather handsome, and since one of the sources of Michael's power is through the fear he inflicts on others, Michael could be afraid of losing that ...
While Michael has proven time and again that he can survive nearly anything, he doesn't stand a chance against Jason. Jason's immense strength and ability to keep killing no matter the circumstances show that he can withstand a full-on assault from Michael.
Myers is still a human despite the near-supernatural powers they give him, he is a "bogeyman" figure but ultimately he is still meant to be a human psychopath - this mean he will feel pain like any other living creature does, he simply masks it or he is in a state of psychosis where his mind simply doesn't register ...
Michael Myers Becomes Motivated By the Build-Up to the Kill. For fifteen years Michael is catatonic, playing his sister's death on repeat in his mind, until finally the obsession is too much, and the need to recreate that night wins.
Some interpretations suggest that the audience has empathy for Jason, whose motivation for killing has been cited as being driven by the immoral actions of his victims and his own rage over having drowned as a child.
As revealed in Halloween: The Curse of Michael Myers, a group of druids belonging to Halloween's Cult of Thorn placed a curse on Michael when he was an infant. This curse causes him to be possessed by Thorn, a demonic force that requires its host to sacrifice their family on Samhain (now known as Halloween night).
