Plot. A dollmaker named Samuel Mullins and his wife Esther grieve for the loss of their seven-year-old daughter Annabelle, nicknamed "Bee", who dies when she accidentally steps in front of a car.
Janice goes to another orphanage and now calls herself Annabelle. She is adopted by Pete and Sharon Higgins, both of whom she and her boyfriend murder before the Annabelle doll comes into the possession of John and Mia Gordon.
When Janice resumes pursuing Linda, she runs into Bee's room and hides in the closet. Janice finds her and throws her outside the closet, and attempts to stab her with a knife. Sister Charlotte arrives to save Linda, locking the possessed Janice/Annabelle and the doll inside the closet.
What happened to the doll at the end of Annabelle: Creation?
At the end of the 1957-set portion of Creation, it's implied the doll is now free of all harmful forces, yet it somehow gets re-embroiled in the Ram's story twelve years later when it magically reappears and Annabelle re-possesses it.
