During a recent interview with GQ, the actor revealed the reason he didn't appear in Logan was simply because Sabertooth was never part of the story. "They didn't ask me. No, I mean, I don't think he was part of that story, you know? He wasn't part of that story," Schreiber stated.
In the producer's DVD commentary, Lauren Shuler Donner says that, as Sabretooth got older, he became more animal-like and lost some of his humanity and memory, although there are hints that he might remember Wolverine in small parts.
