Bambi II (2006) His father is reluctant to learn to be a father. In addition, Bambi begins to fall in love with Faline, and comes into conflict with an older fawn called Ronno (the same deer he would later fight over Faline with as a young adult).
Faline is a female deer and one of the deuteragonists of the 1942 Disney animated feature film Bambi. She is the daughter of Ena and an unknown buck. First shown as a fawn and later as a young adult doe, she is Bambi's love interest and eventual mate.
The main characters are Bambi, a white-tailed deer; his parents (the Great Prince of the forest and his unnamed mother); his friends Thumper (a pink-nosed rabbit); and Flower (a skunk); and his childhood friend and future mate, Faline.
Faline is Bambi's friend and love interest. When Bambi first meets her, he becomes very shy to be near another fawn (and a very pretty one at that). But after a little nudge, he overcomes that shyness when he plays with Faline.
Thumper is a young, comical rabbit and is also a well-known inhabitant of the forest. Despite being mistaken for a female by viewers, he is actually male.
"Bambi doesn't have a middle name. Her name's literally just Bambi Fury which is mental because I was adamant she would have a middle name. I was so certain," she admitted.
Young adult Thumper (right) with his girlfriend (referred to as "Miss Bunny") from Bambi. The character was an important influence upon the development of the movie Bambi which started production with an adult tone which seemed too serious and uncommercial.
The Old Stag is never explicitly stated to be Bambi's father. He does refer to Bambi as "my son" twice over the course of Bambi: A Life in the Woods, but it is unclear if this is indicative of actual biological relationship or if it simply a term of endearment.
Friend Owl even took it upon himself to serve as a mentor to Bambi, Thumper and Flower. Friend Owl advised them regarding romantic matters, admonishing them to never become "twitterpated," which is a term for falling in love.
Anthony Ghannam as Ronno, Bambi's rival. He is the deer that Bambi fights in the original film. Bernard Derriman and Mark Henn served as the supervising animators for Ronno. Ronno has dialogue unlike in the original film in which he was silent.
Trivia. Flower is often mistaken for a female due to his name, high pitched voice, and appearance, specifically his eyelashes. Like many animals, Flower eats more to gain body fat for hibernation during the winter. In Bambi II, Flower has a fear of turtles, known as chelonaphobia.
Lola Bunny is Bugs Bunny's beautiful, sassy, and no nonsense girlfriend. According to Kevin Sandler in Reading the Rabbit: Explorations in Warner Bros. Animation, she was created as "female merchandising counterpart" to Bugs Bunny. She first appeared as Bugs Bunny's girlfriend in the 1996 film Space Jam.
Bambi learns new words every day. Bird is his first word. He learns butterflies, rain, and meadow. He sees his father (the Great Prince of the Forest) for the first time.
Bambi's father is known as “The Great Prince of the Forest” - which you have to admit is a pretty unwieldy name. But at least he has a name - Bambi's mother isn't given a name, other than Bambi calling her “Mother” and being referred to as “Bambi's Mother” in the voice credits.
