Bambi, as with most of his friends, could be any deer in any forest. In his early youth, Bambi has wide eyes, spindly legs, a curious nature and high-pitched voice. As he grows, he gradually becomes more mature, but even in young adulthood, he seems a very young buck with a delicate build and a fairly naïve nature.

The midquel, Bambi II confirms that the Great Prince is Bambi's father, with the lyrics of First Sign of Spring referring to a "father and son" duo, presumably the Great Prince and Bambi, and the Great Prince is shown remembering the first time he met Bambi's mother at the end of the film.
"Bambi doesn't have a middle name. Her name's literally just Bambi Fury which is mental because I was adamant she would have a middle name. I was so certain," she admitted.
Right after Bambi, Thumper and Flower claimed that they will never fall in love, Miss Bunny notices them and fashions herself up making her look flirtatious and noticeable.
