Later in life, Pershing was pressed into working for the Galactic Empire as a scientist and member of the Imperial Officer Corps. After the Empire collapsed, Pershing continued to work as part of an Imperial remnant under the former Moff Gideon.
Over the course of The Mandalorian season 3, episode 3, she manipulated Dr. Pershing into trusting her, and then framed him for succumbing to Imperial programming. This made sure he would end up being subject to a deconditioning process she could manipulate, flaying his mind.
