In Frozen 1, her primary motive is of course avoiding hurting Anna and others. But when cat gets out of the proverbial bag, she quickly grasps the silver lining - I don't have to do that stupid 'conceal it' thing anymore! And doesn't sacrifice a thought for Anna or her kingdom anymore.
These are the main messages from Frozen: People can make bad choices if they're scared or stressed. Love means putting someone else's needs before your own. People who are different or have unique talents should not be hidden away, or be afraid of showing their talents.
Be Bold. Perhaps the most obvious message in Frozen is that it's good to be courageous. Elsa fleeing her home to live on her own was bold; Anna following her was even more so. Having a feisty streak can be a very good thing!
But is it healthy? In Part I of the Frozen series, I suggested that Elsa experiences something like borderline personality disorder (BPD). In this interpretation, Elsa's frozen rages are an outward display of the emotional dysregulation she feels inside.

Anna's parents rush her to the sacred realm, where discussions with the trolls reveal that Elsa was born with her powers/ depigmentation and deafness, rather than them being due to illness or accident. Grand Pabbie troll heals Anna but removes her memories of Elsa's magic.
Children respond to stories that employ magical realism, so Elsa—as a superhero with what one of our daughters (Maryam's) and her friends call “ice powers” (the ability to create a whole castle of snow and ice using only her fingers)—has special appeal.
Elsa also has magic, hydrokinesis, telekinesis, ice fire emission, weather manipulation, cloth manipulation, clothing manipulation and vortex manipulation. Elsa even has ice cream manipulation, ki energy, ice cloning, Cryo-Astral projection and flight. Elsa can also never get drunk.
Luckily, Elsa learns to control her powers and open her heart to love by the end of Frozen, while Frozen 2 explains that the origin of Elsa's power is her identity as a magical spirit (known simply as “the fifth spirit”) alongside fire, water, earth, and air.
Elsa's goal is to learn the truth of who she is and to make her peace with it, no longer denying her magical abilities or trying to shove them down out of fear. She's only just learned how to let people in, a huge step for anyone; now she needs to learn how to live for herself and not simply for everyone else.
Although Elsa's disability is encoded as a magical ice power, the language the film uses to talk about her condition maps on to the experiences of people with physical, mental, and intellectual disabilities in recognizable ways.
What is the psychological analysis of Elsa from Frozen?
Elsa, however, is risk-averse, anxious, and self-doubting. This is her biggest test. She must accept her crown and scepter with ungloved hands. Should she slip up or let her emotions overwhelm her, she may let the magic out, revealing who she really is.
The implication, and it's only ever just that, is that Elsa and Anna's mother is herself somehow attuned to the magical forces such that Elsa was given the gift of superpowers. (Why Anna never received such powers is equally vaguely defined: just as Elsa and Anna's father had no powers, so too would she be power-free.
In the first Frozen movie, Elsa's age was 21, while Anna was 18. Considering Frozen revolved around Elsa's coronation, it's refreshing to see that Arendelle waited until she was a more appropriate age to receive the queen title. Frozen II occurred after a 3-year time jump, with Elsa now 24 and Anna 21.
They were given an official number in the franchise line-up based on the chronological order in which their films were released, starting with Snow White as the first and original Disney Princess, with Cinderella being the second, followed by Aurora and so on.
However, Elsa's most iconic songs and moments are all voiced by legendary Broadway and film actress Idina Menzel. Menzel is one of the most recognizable voices on Broadway, and every musical theater fan will immediately recognize her name and mezzo-soprano.
On February 8, 2023, Disney CEO Bob Iger confirmed that Frozen 3 is in the works, along with Toy Story 5 and Zootopia 2. While news of a third Frozen film was a welcome one, we have yet to hear more details about the movie or see a trailer.

In the film Frozen, the main character, Elsa, suffers from Post-Traumatic-Stress Disorder. This stems from an event as a child in which she accidentally hurt her sister, Anna, when they are playing together.
These strong female characters certainly have their weaknesses; they wouldn't be very interesting characters if they didn't. Elsa can be distant to the people she loves, she has trouble accepting help, and she fails to recognize her own limitations.
Elsa is never properly identified as asexual or aromantic, something that would help immensely to increase visibility and awareness. Considering Disney's record with LGBT characters (remember the underwhelming 'gay moment' in Beauty and the Beast?)
Two sisters with similar features but vastly different skin undertones: one is cool and the other one is warm. Both have blue eyes yet Elsa's eyes are cool blue and Anna's are warm turquoise.
