Terrifier is an incredibly gory horror movie, even when compared to other bloody scary clown movies. Art the Clown (David Howard Thornton) is a silent, violence-prone monster who delights in torturing and killing unsuspecting victims.
The look of the clowns is just so strange and disturbing, which goes a long way in scaring the audience sweepstakes. The film stars John Vernon, Christopher Titus, and yes, the comedian Grant Cramer and Royal Dano.
This one is longer and smarter than its predecessor and has stronger characters, but it's extraordinarily, relentlessly gory. Faces and bodies are slashed, mutilated, defiled in various ways, and reduced to bloody pulp. Characters are shot and killed, and body parts are ripped off, torn out, or mangled.

The second film does an excellent job of adding to the blood and gore expected of the franchise but fails to capture some of the shock value that made the first film terrifying. Art is also established in the town's lore by the second film, so his presence doesn't loom as large.
Not appropriate for younger viewers. At an hour and eight minutes, a young woman's mother returns home to find Art on the bed with the woman propped up next to him still alive but completely covered in blood. Most of her right leg is gone with only bone remaining as he cuts into her left leg.
There is some settings in this film where it doesn't make it all bad and terrifying. There's some supernatural and some badass costume goddesses. Overall The two films is definitely not for kids and also not for sensitive people like me. There's really bad gore and violence.
Essentially, the scene is an attempt to out-gore the original in a manner befitting a true killer. Moreover, the whole scene is undercut with Art the Clown's trademark silent laughter, which makes the scene, and movie, all the more unsettling.

There's not really a true story to Art's creation. If there was, it would only serve to make him more terrifying. Terrifier's Art was created when Damien Leone had the idea of a clown annoying a woman on her way home from work on a bus.
The police finally arrive, but Art shoots himself before he can be apprehended. After the police discover Vicky is still alive, Art's body and those of his victims are taken to a morgue, where Art reanimates and attacks the medical examiner.
Trivia. Victoria was the only character to survive Art's rampage from the first film. It is possible that her disfigurement was done deliberately by Art as a way to make her one of his followers, and to resurrect himself after he was killed by Sienna.
In anticipation of the third film, “Terrifier 2” expanded more on the mythology of Art. According to the sequel, the clown isn't human at all, but instead an evil entity with the ability to repeatedly resurrect.
Not only does Art scalp the poor girl, but he breaks both of her arms and even rips one of them off. For gorehounds, it's an utter treat, but for general audiences, it's absolutely relentless. Even when it looks like Art gets bored of his plaything and leaves, he returns to make her ordeal even more traumatizing.
Art slams Allie onto her bed once more and flays her back. He stabs Allie a few times before ripping off the skin of her back, revealing her flesh and spine. Art then grabs Allie's right arm and forces it into a foreign position, breaking it. Art flails her broken forearm a few times before ripping it clean.
'Terrifier' starts off really well, great even. Despite the slightness of the story that doesn't really do anything new, the first half was tightly paced and genuinely scary and suspenseful with well-timed shocks. The killings are gory, without being gratuitously so while not holding back, nail-biting and inventive.
Saw X might just be gorier than Terrifier 2, and fans have been raving about the latest installment of the horror franchise. The latest film in the Saw franchise is apparently so disgusting that those who have watched it have been provided with sick bags.
Terrifier 2 outdoes the original in every way -- which makes it bad news for the squeamish, but a bloody good time for genre enthusiasts. Hardcore slasher fans may wonder why Terrifier 2's gore was so heavily hyped, but they'll also enjoy the old-school horror in Art the Clown's second act.
