When the newly crowned Queen Elsa accidentally uses her power to turn things into ice to curse her home in infinite winter, her sister Anna teams up with a mountain man, his playful reindeer, and a snowman to change the weather condition.
There's an air of playfulness and adventure surrounding both of them, but that's abruptly cut short when Elsa accidentally hurts Anna with her power one night. The near-fatal injury is one that Anna appears to quickly get over -- but Elsa is never the same afterward.
This means that, although Anna is most important character for telling the story of Frozen, it is instead Elsa who is most important for the events that make up the story.
While it's true that the center of Frozen as a franchise has always been the relationship between Elsa and Anna, Frozen 2 gives Anna and Kristoff a rather elaborate plot about getting engaged; meanwhile, when it comes to love interests, Elsa gets nothing.

"For this film, we spent a lot of time journaling and we said we took these pretty intense personality tests (for each character). We found this is a woman who wasn't ready for a relationship at all.
Later, Elsa and Sam spend the night together which shows this isn't a flash in the pan romance, and that the pair are serious about their relationship. Elsa tells her mother just as much the next morning, but agrees to ride with them to Oregon before eventually returning to Sam.
Honeymaren is a supporting character in Disney's 2019 animated feature film Frozen II. A member of the Northuldra, Honeymaren wants nothing more than to bring peace to the Enchanted Forest. She is bold and brave, with a reverence for the magic of nature.
